Music Dojo is a free offline music player for files you own. Music Dojo does not require an account, does not use third-party analytics, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not use a developer-owned server for your audio, your library, or anything else.
Overview
Your audio files, folder structure, playlists, tags, playback positions, artwork and settings are stored on your device, inside the app's own storage area. Dojoism does not operate a server that can read your Music Dojo content, and the app makes no network requests to Dojoism at any time.
Information We Collect
Dojoism collects nothing. There is no Dojoism account, no telemetry, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising identifier, and no usage analytics of any kind. We do not know what you listen to, how often you open the app, or that you use it at all.
Local App Data
Music Dojo stores the audio files you import, the folder structure you organise them into, an index of their metadata (title, artist, album, genre, year, track number, duration, format and file size), extracted album artwork, playlists you create, playback positions and history, sort and view preferences, equalizer and playback settings, your interface language choice, and files in Recently Deleted. All of it lives on your device.
Your Audio Files
Files you import are copied into Music Dojo's own storage so the app can play them reliably. They are visible to you in the Files app under "Music Dojo". The app never renames or moves your files on its own, and never uploads them.
Wi-Fi Transfer and Local Network Access
Music Dojo can run a small web server on your own Wi-Fi network so you can send files from a computer's browser. This is the only reason the app requests Local Network permission, and it is the only network feature in the app. The server runs only while the Wi-Fi Transfer screen is open, is reachable only from your local network, and requires a six-digit code displayed on your device. Uploaded files travel directly from your computer to your phone; they do not pass through Dojoism or anyone else.
Permissions
Music Dojo requests Local Network permission for Wi-Fi Transfer, as described above. That is the only permission it asks for. When you set album artwork by hand, the system photo picker hands the app the one image you selected — the app is never given access to your photo library. Music Dojo does not use the microphone, the camera, contacts, location, or your Apple Music library.
Purchases
Music Dojo is free and contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions or tips, so the app handles no payment or entitlement information. Downloading the app from the App Store is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; Dojoism does not receive your name, email address or payment details.
Data Sharing
There is nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers, because we never receive it. Music Dojo contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party behavioural analytics SDKs.
Deletion and Retention
Your data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Deleting files inside Music Dojo moves them to Recently Deleted, where they remain for 30 days before being removed permanently; you can empty it sooner. Deleting the app removes everything Music Dojo stored, including your imported files — export anything you want to keep first.
Support Emails
If you contact support by email, your email address and whatever you include in the message are handled by your email provider and Dojoism's email provider so we can reply. Please do not attach audio files unless we ask for one to reproduce a bug.
Children's Privacy
Music Dojo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or on our website.
